Bringing Psychological Science to Everyday Wellbeing — Partnering with Schools and Families to Make a Meaningful Difference

What is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing is a state of balanced mental, emotional, and physical health that enables people to excel, manage life’s challenges, and move through everyday experiences with confidence.
Our approach brings together evidence from developmental, social, neuro- and educational psychology, and our mission is to translate this science into accessible, effective support that strengthens resilience and promotes meaningful growth across home, school, and community settings.

Healthy behaviour, emotional regulation, and optimal daily functioning do not happen in isolation, they are built on a set of essential foundations supported consistently in research.
These foundations form our four core pillars:

Sleep · Nutrition · Movement · Relationships

When these domains are nurtured and in balance, individuals are better equipped to regulate emotions, manage behaviour, maintain energy, think clearly, and thrive in their environments.

Guided by these four scientifically grounded pillars, we ensure that every aspect of our work remains evidence-based, practical, and responsive to the unique needs and contexts of the people we support.

About Me...
My name is Tayla , and I founded KindMinds to bridge the gap between Psychological Research and Real-Life Practice
I’m passionate about helping children, young people, and individuals understand the connection between the brain and body, and translating psychological science into practical, everyday strategies that support focus, emotional regulation, behaviour, and overall wellbeing.
I hold an Honours degree in Psychological Science, where I developed a strong interest in how sleep, nutrition, movement, and relationships shape mental health, behaviour, and daily functioning across home, school, and community settings.

I have a particular drive for working with students in school settings. For me, school was both a place I loved and felt grateful for as a space of learning and opportunity, while also being a source of significant anxiety. These experiences shaped my commitment to helping students feel safe, supported, and able to thrive in their education.

Over the past three years, I’ve worked closely with students in school settings, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges they face with attention, emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement. In my role as a wellbeing officer, I have enjoyed supporting students, schools, and families to navigate these challenges, which I have seen firsthand lead to stronger educational outcomes and a positive impact on personal wellbeing.

Alongside my school-based work, I also support individuals and families in private settings, where similar challenges often arise in daily life. I’ve observed how difficulties with focus, mood, energy, and behaviour are frequently influenced by foundational wellbeing factors, including sleep quality, movement, nutrition, and relational safety. When these core areas are supported, individuals are often better able to regulate emotions, engage meaningfully, and feel more capable in their everyday lives.

I designed KindMinds Wellbeing to bridge the gap between research and real-life practice, helping students, staff, and families turn evidence-based insights into practical strategies they can use to improve wellbeing, learning, and daily life. Through this work, my goal is to help people thrive, living healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives.
